I’m a licensed professional counselor in the state of Kansas. It is my goal to empower and walk alongside you on your healing journey. My process includes cultivating a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment, emphasizing your strengths, and offering unconditional compassion and skills-building so that you can be your own mental health advocate. I’d love to help you reach your therapy goals.

  • My Approach

    I integrate aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), client-centered therapy, strengths-based counseling, and multicultural and feminist approaches in my work. I believe encouraging you to accept all your experiences wholly is a necessary part of healing, because a good life is not necessarily an easy one. I highlight the importance of your cultural identities to help you develop a comprehensive understanding of all the environmental forces that shape your wellbeing and utilizing your strengths and values to achieve your goals in and outside of the therapy room.

  • Get to Know Me

    I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas. I’m receiving supervision from Teresa Paterson Bartch, LCPC. I graduated from the University of Kansas (KU) in 2023 with my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Previously, I worked as a student intern at Renew Counseling Center. I also worked as a student intern at the Positive Psychotherapy Clinic at KU.

    I am from the Kansas City area and have been passionate about mental health and psychology from a young age. When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing with friends and family, reading, watching TV, and coloring.

My interests include:

  • Anxiety and OCD

    I am passionate about helping individuals experiencing anxiety through providing warmth, compassion, and helpful coping strategies. I utilize ACT and ERP to encourage clients to accept their thoughts and emotions and use valuable tools to achieve their goals.

  • Multicultural Counseling

    I emphasize the importance of clients’ intersecting cultural identities and how these identities affect their mental health. I am passionate about identity formation, working with the Latine community, and provide counseling in English and Spanish.

  • Mood Disorders

    I strive to help clients coping with depression and other mood disorders. I emphasize radical acceptance, self-compassion, and engaging in behavioral activation to boost client well-being and life satisfaction.
